Sweet Tooth Season Returns

Jump to recipe

Fall is officially here, so it’s time to get serious about our sweets. Whether you need some sweetness to go with your morning coffee or just a midnight treat, Jackson Hole has the best spots for every craving around.

Persephone Bakery / Picnic / Coelette

persephone bakery

Persephone is the original spot for the best sweets in town, and luckily, its sister stores, Picnic and Coelette, also have treats from their bakery. We love their Kouign-Amann and cinnamon roll. They are flakey, buttery, and light, leaving your sweet tooth satisfied without the heavy guilt of a more decadent dessert. While this pastry is amazing, you really can’t go wrong with any choice (especially their pre-packaged chocolate chip cookies). Mostly everything you see at Persephone, you can also find at Picnic, and the newest restaurant, Coelette, has a mini pastry basket if you want a smaller bite of something!

The Bunnery Bakery

The Bunnery

The Bunnery bakery is a classic. From melt-in-your-mouth pie crusts to dense delicious coffee cake, they have something for everyone. So, while it’s a difficult choice once you reach the two displays filled with freshly made pastries, their huckleberry danish is a Jackson classic. The sweet flaky pastry paired with the tartness of the huckleberries makes it a must-try for huckleberry enthusiasts.

Coco Love / Atelier Ortega

Florentines.Atelier Ortega

While they are famous for their undeniably delicious chocolates, do not overlook their baked goods. Both stores in Jackson offer the most beautiful cakes, tarts, macaroons and pastries around. Coco Love’s florentines are a scrumptious blend of dried fruits and nuts mixed with caramel and spread atop an almond shortbread. We have the recipe from a past magazine, found here:

Pearl Street Bagels

Do not be fooled by the name. Pearl Street Bagels makes the best bagels in town, however, they also have some insanely special sweet treats behind their glass windows. While they’ve temporarily paused the production of their ridiculously decadent fudgy brownies, their pumpkin chocolate chip cookie is also hard to beat. Perfect for the season change, these cookies are chewy, and irresistible.

On the Healthier side: My Favorite Sweet Tooth Recipe

I make this at least once a week and it’s always gone after a day or two, so try it out and let me know what you think! Happy sweet season everyone (or if you’re like me and sweets are a daily ritual) happy Friday! 😉
