Spreading Local Love During COVID 19

In a town like Jackson, small businesses are the backbone of the local economy and culture. The locally-owned shops and restaurants that line the town square, Teton Village and everywhere in between, make this town the special place it is for locals and visitors alike. So, in times of uncertainty like these, it is more important than ever to be there for our local businesses as they are always there for us.

Although most shops and restaurants have shut their physical doors, many are remaining open through unique initiatives that will help keep their businesses going and customers happy. On top of restaurants that have adopted methods such as take-out, family meals, delivery services and more, some businesses are turning to creating custom-made boxes.

local love

Local Love Box: Brought to you by Persephone, Vertical Harvest and Bovine & Swine, this box is made to “restock your pantry staples.” While you probably are set on non-perishables for a while, this box is perfect for getting the fresh goods you need each week. For $65, you can get a box of locally grown and made foods that include Vertical Harvest greens, Persephone bread and Bovine & Swine sausages. Sign up and pay for your box online, and then curbside pickup will be available every Friday from 3-5 p.m.

MADE’s Quarantine Box: Order one of these for yourself or a loved one and have it shipped locally or nationwide. There are options ranging from $50-$250 and the products included are unique, beautiful, handmade goods from MADE, Mountain Dandy, Mursell’s, and M. Specify what kind of items you would like or choose to be completely surprised; either way, these are putting a smile on faces all over Jackson and the country!

penny's picks

Penny’s Picks: With this “curated box of style,” Penny Lane will pack up some hand-picked items and deliver them to your doorstep. Just direct message @pennylanejh your name, email, address, shirt size, denim size and dress size, and she will work her magic and deliver you a box. This part of the process is free of charge! Next, once you try everything on in the comfort of your own home, you can pay for what you keep and ship back what you don’t.

Yippy I-O: Candy and puzzles galore! A little comforting nostalgia at this point is more than welcome. If you give Yippy I-O a call at 307-739-3020 between 12 and 4 p.m., you can put in an order for whatever sweets and puzzles you need to get you through these long days at home.

terra

(Retail) Therapy Packages: On top of private in-store appointments, this fun idea is Terra’s take on customized clothing and self-care boxes. All you have to do is direct message @terraontownsquare, or call or text 307-413-3230 to get started. Together, you will create a tailored box of goodies that will be delivered to your door. Once you get a chance to check it all out and try everything on, you can make your purchases over the phone and schedule either a drop-off or pickup of what you want to send back! Terra and  has also worked on a partnership with other store owners. If you buy a $100 gift card from Terra, Habits, Altitude and/or Nest, you get a $20 gift card to your choice of one of the other stores!

Taking advantage of these fun, unique initiatives is a great way to not only bring some light to your life or the life of a loved one, but also to keep your favorite local businesses up and running so that they can open their doors at the end of this unprecedented situation.
