A custom care package from Mursell’s is a perfect gift!
There’s no better addition to a stroll through Town Square than stopping into Mursell’s for a sweet treat. Exploring the colorful candy shop in Jackson’s historic Gaslight Alley is always a fun outing (for kids and adults alike), with a rotating selection that ranges from summery fruit-flavored gummies to chocolate truffles, sour belts and rock candy. From retro to modern, you name it, Mursell’s has it.
During the peak of Covid, the shop started mailing out candy-filled quarantine boxes, and manager Sara Nicholson says they’ve seen so much interest that they’ve kept it up, customizing hampers of treats for all kinds of occasions. “We have shipped to customers for so many different reasons; lockdown, back to school, graduation, wedding gifts, thank you boxes, missing you, to cheer someone up, and my personal favorite: self care!” Nicholson adding that they have plenty of vegan options depending on dietary restrictions. “Sour peach skulls are my favorite. They are made in Sweden and they are vegan. The lack of gelatin gives them a much firmer chew which is the best!”

Customers can send a curated box of goodies to a friend on the Mursell’s website, choosing a price range and sharing any preferences, hobbies, or theme suggestions with staff to help the team customize the box. You can ship treats in a custom MADE wicker hamper, or opt for a regular cardboard box.
While tried and true favorites—like sour belts and candy necklaces—are always available, Nicholson says they rotate in fun new treats to keep it interesting, like freeze-dried taffy, Skittles, Jolly Ranchers and fruit rings, which have been a big hit this summer. “The freeze dried taffy is ridiculous!” Nicholson says.” Crunchy, airy, so flavorful—the problem is I eat the whole bag!”
As school kicks off and summer comes to a close, we’re excited to share the love this fall with some sweet treats from Mursell’s. Life is definitely better with a little bit of sugar.
