If you are on the West Bank and looking for a farmers market, you are in luck.
From the Roots, formerly the Sloan Bergien’s Jackson Hole Farmers Market, has set up a second location in the Q Roadouse and Brewing Co. parking lot. From noon to 6 p.m. Thursday, and 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, find all the same produce Bergien has offered at her stand in the Movieworks Plaza for 20 years.
She recently sold the market to Sharon and Jerry Shindle, who continue to operate the original stand next door to Twigs as well as one at the Farmers Market on the Town Square on Saturdays. Bergien is working for the couple this summer.
Aside from the West Bank market, which has been running for about three weeks, the market is now paying to have produce delivered weekly (Bergien used to drive to Utah every Wednesday to collect the product). For years she has sourced fresh produce from more than 40 farms, such as Bear Lake raspberries or Washington cherries.
Watch out for From the Roots to start carrying flowers, pies and bread in the coming weeks.
