Drigg’s Pizzeria Alpino serves fresh, authentic, Italian fare in a historic Teton cabin. Surrounded by pine trees and Idaho’s alpine environment, Pizzeria Alpino or ‘of the pines’ in Italian, is run by John Koenig and Executive Chef David Hugo, both graduates from the Culinary Institute of America.
Last year we just though that there was a need for good Italian food and pizza in the valley. So two German guys decided to get together and open a pizza restaurant.
John Koenig, co-owner of Pizzeria Alpino

Pizzeria Alpino offers a fun, casual family atmosphere, with outdoor seating and a game room for the kids. Appetizers include garlic bread, bruschetta, fried calamari, fresh salads, and a soup of the day. Build your own pizza or choose from a variety of speciality pies. The Mountain Pine is a combination of sweet or hot Italian sausage, mushrooms, onions, peppers, marinara, and a five cheese blend. The Grand Fir is topped with prosciutto, caramelized onions, mushrooms, roasted butternut squash, dried cherries and chèvre. The White Pine pizza is made with an extra virgin olive oil and garlic herb ricotta base with fresh mozzarella, broccoli, and fresh basil. Or build your own with toppings from local Crowfoot J Ranch and Meats.
The homemade pasta at Pizzeria Alpino is made in a traditional style, with long fermented dough. Specialties include spaghetti and meatballs, three cheese ravioli, elk bolognese, chicken and eggplant parmigiana, meat and vegetable lasagna, chicken carbonara, and a seafood pasta linguini.

The restaurant promotes a farm-to-table philosophy, serving dishes made with locally grown ingredients like fresh greens from Clawson Greens and gourmet mushrooms from Morning Dew Mushrooms, both located in Tetonia, Idaho.
Everything is made fresh everyday. David makes everything from scratch and tries to get everything as fresh as possible. We will have staples on the menu but we are also looking to be seasonal and use what’s fresh and support our local farmers and ranchers.
