Fuel up at The Cabin Before an Adventure in the Tetons

Summer may be officially coming to a close, but sunny adventures aren’t showing any signs of slowing. The Cabin has become a new favorite spot for grab-and-go goods when heading north for an adventure in the park. The store offers a quick way to stock up on anything from a picnic lunch to bear spray, camping fuel or even a paddle board rental.

The Cabin replaced the Chevron Food Mart on Cache Street this spring, a big upgrade to gas station sundries that locals and visitors alike have been taking to this summer.

The Cabin

“We call it the last stop shop,” says Molly Hagan of Backcountry Safaris, which is owned and operated by the same company as The Cabin as well as JH Skis. “It’s so easy to stop in on the way to the park to refuel and stock up on food for the day. I like to grab a breakfast sandwich and a sandwich for lunch when I drive by and I’m pretty much set for the day.”

Classic deli sandwiches like Italian, turkey and roast beef (all served with chips and a cookie,) are freshly made each morning, as well as a selection of prepped breakfast sandwiches available. Provisions donuts and Snake River Roasting Co. coffee are also available, a serious step up from standard gas station donuts and watery coffee. “We see a lot of locals stopping in frequently for lunch, which always says something about the food,” adds Hagan.

While it’s a great spot to stock up on supplies pre-adventure, The Cabin is also offers a wat to cool off with a cup of Wyoming Shave Ice or get your salt fix with a bag of chips on the way home from an adventure (especially if Town Square traffic is getting you down).

Stand up paddle boards, inner tubes, bikes and e-bikes are available for rent at The Cabin as well; whatever you’ve got on the agenda for the day, you’ll probably find it at The Cabin.

The Cabin is open daily, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Stop in and check it out next time you need a treat.
