Enjoy a Cold One From Jackson Hole Breweries on National Beer Day

Today is national beer day. That’s right, a day devoted to the world’s oldest and most widely consumed alcoholic beverage! Grab a seat at your favorite local watering hole, or pick up a six-pack from these award-winning breweries to enjoy at home. Let’s raise a glass of your favorite dark, pale, hoppy, bitter, smooth, craft beer or cider (though it’s not technically a beer, we aren’t judging!). And don’t forget to thank those who work hard to bring such a selection of handcrafted beverages to Jackson Hole all year long.

farmstead cider
Celebrate national beer day around the fire with a bottle of Farmstead Cider.

Farmstead Cider, the first commercial cidery in Wyoming in over 100 years, offers a variety of handmade ciders all made from local Wyoming and Rocky Mountain apples. The Kelly Street cider, made from sweet and crab apples, was a 2021 Good Food Award-winner. The Rafter J Cider is made from a variety of 40 year-old apple trees, and the Mountain Dry Cider is made with foraged wild apples, blended with Macintosh and Honeycrisp, fermented slow and cold to produce a refreshing cider with a hint of mountain tartness. Find the full list of Farmstead Ciders here. Order Farmstead Cider online or find it for sale at select shops in Jackson.

Highpoint Cider, located in Victor, Idaho, uses unfiltered fresh Rocky Mountain apples to create its newest releases, available at local retailers and restaurants throughout the valley soon. The Spur is a session cider, infused with ginger, that pairs well with spicy foods. The Tram-Line, a bright citrusy cider is made with mosaic hops, and the Transplant, is a traditional semi-dry modern New England style cider. View all Highpoint Cider products here.

The newest experiMENTAL release from Melvin Brewing is the Bohemian Rebirth.

After winning small brewpub of the year at the Great American Beer Festival in 2015, Melvin Brewing opened its first production facility in Alpine, Wyo. Shortly thereafter, Melvin went on to win brewing group of the year at the GABF in 2017. Today, Melvin followers can choose from a variety of award-winning beers including Melvin IPA, Hubert MPA, and the 2×4 Double IPA. Local favorites include Killer Bees, an American Blonde Ale, and HeyZeus, a Mexican style lager. The newest expiriMENTAL series – a hazy series from Melvin – is the Bohemian Rebirth. This unique beer is a tribute to the old style Kellerbier, with the kick of Amarillo and Strata hops, it brings citrus flavors to the classic recipe. Grab a pint of your favorite Melvin handcrafted beer at The Alpine Taproom or at Thai Me Up Restaurant & Brewery in Jackson. Check out the full list of Melvin’s craft beers here. Grab a pint or a six-pack to-go of Roadhouse Brewing‘s handcrafted beer at Roadhouse Pub & Eatery, located on the Jackson Town Square. Try Roadhouse favorites like Loose Boots, a Session IPA with low alcohol, and a big hoppy punch. Or Family Vacation, a delicately dry-hopped cream ale, light in color, and crisp in flavor, brewed with premium American pilsner malt. The Wilson, a mountain style IPA, is full of citrus, tropical and pine flavors, with a subtle malt backbone. And the Trout Whistle is not your average American Pale Ale. This brew packs a triple punch with mosaic, calypso and Azacca hops. View the full list of Roadhouse beers here. Roadhouse can be found on tap at select restaurants and for sale at select shops in and around town.
