Craving some holiday cheer? Between The Wort Hotel and The Cowboy Bar, there’s hardly a dull moment until the new year.
The Wort Hotel and The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar kicked off their annual 12 Days of Christmas festivities last week with the Wort Plaza Holiday Street Lighting Party, the first of a month full of festivities. Gingerbread house decorating, wine and cookie decorating, folk music and karaoke nights, ‘tis the season to lean into some holiday fun.
Gingerbread House Decorating: Dec. 9, 6-8 p.m.
Hosted in the Wort Hotel’s Goldpiece Room and Jackson Room, a $79 ticket gets you a full gingerbread house kit plus all the candy and icing you need to decorate to perfection. One gingerbread house can be shared by up to four people, tickets are required.
Wine Pairing and Adult Cookie Decorating: Dec. 15, 7-8:30 p.m.
Decorate holiday cookies with a creative wine pairing in the Wort’s Goldpiece Room. Enjoy four wines and four cookies, plus icing and sprinkles to decorate your treats. Tickets are $29 per person and all attendees must be 21+.
Holiday Cocktails and Music with Tasha and the Goodfellows: Dec. 16, 7-10:30 p.m.
Dance the night away in the Silver Dollar Showroom with live music and a holiday cocktail in hand.

Ugly Sweater Party with One Ton Pig: Dec. 21, 7-10:30 p.m.
It’s time to bust out that ugly sweater you’ve had in the closet for years. Bluegrass Tuesday at the Silver Dollar Bar will feature a holiday twist this week, with music from One Ton Pig.
Folk Cafe Holiday Edition: Dec. 23, 7-10:30 p.m.
Enjoy a holiday-themed Folk Cafe night in the Silver Dollar Showroom featuring Byron Tomingas, Papa Chan and Jason Fritts, and Vince and Mindi.
Ho Ho Ho-down Christmas Party: Dec. 24, 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
While you’re waiting for Santa to show up, head to The Cowboy for some classic and modern country and a little classic rock by Ken Earl and Shameless.
Christmas Day Buffet: Dec. 25, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
After a cozy morning with the family (or a few laps on the mountain) head to The Wort for the annual Christmas Day Buffet from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Reservations are required.
Cowboy Christmas Karaoke: Dec. 26
Can’t get enough? If you want to hit the town the day after Christmas, head to the Cowboy for karaoke night at the infamous town watering hole.
New Year’s Eve Party: Dec. 31, 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Choose your own adventure—you can ring in the new year at both The Silver Dollar Bar or The Cowboy this year, with live music from Paul Cleckler (Silver Dollar) and The Walker Williams Band (Cowboy).
