Simultaneously inviting and captivating, the new aesthetic is elegant, while retaining the cozy atmosphere that has always welcomed patrons of Spur. For example, modern lighting fixtures accent the fireplace in the rear of the restaurant, while updated booths in the bar area manage to toe the line between comfort and sophistication. Whether you’re coming in for a romantic dinner for two or a celebration with friends and family, the ambiance at Spur is sure to set the tone for a memorable meal.

This vibrant energy of the new aesthetic carries through to the lobby, which was also renovated to include a lobby bar.

Of course, at Spur, the menu is just as impressive as the décor. The restaurant offers a variety of creative American cuisine, inspired by the flavors of the West, and composed with techniques of Alpine Europe. This combination creates a unique and diverse menu that is sure to satisfy a range of palates. Meanwhile, the chefs at Spur pride themselves on elevating the cuisine by carefully selecting only the finest and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. The seasonality of its menus is a testament to this dedication.

Starting with appetizers like the deviled eggs or mushroom toast, diners can expect a blend of traditional American favorites with creative twists. In terms of main courses, the dinner menu features a selection of meats and fish. Both are carefully composed to include garnishes and accompaniments that highlight the natural flavors of the protein. Already, the buffalo short ribs and Idaho trout have stood out as favorites on the new menu.

Spur strives to set the standard for dining excellence in Jackson Hole.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served daily at Spur, with breakfast service hosted from 7 to 10:30 a.m., lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and dinner from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Plus, this summer, Spur is hosting an après bike happy hour Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 5 p.m. After hitting the trails or the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort bike park, this happy hour is a great way to refuel while recapping the day’s adventures. Sam Simma

Raised in the land of casseroles and deep fried cheese curds, Sam Simma left rural Wisconsin for the mountains of Wyoming in summer 2012. Her appetite for adventure is the only thing that rivals her passion for food. She has always used writing to document and critique her travel and dining experiences. Her warmest memories among family and friends have been associated with the food that was at the center of the occasion. From staging cooking shows with siblings to perfecting turtle brownies with her dad, today Sam enjoys connecting people over food by hosting cookie decorating parties, wine pairing nights, and Midwest-inspired potlucks. A dessert fanatic, she has come to impress friends and family with key lime pies, Oreo bon bons, and Snickers ice cream cakes that are far simpler than they could ever imagine. Shhh! Don’t tell.
