SUMMARY:National Knife Day Knife Forging Competition
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, August 24 is National Knife Day and there’s no better way to celebrate than with a live-action knife-forging competition at local cutlers\, New West KnifeWorks and MTN MAN Toy Shop. There will also be free on-site knife sharpening and the National Knife Day sale\, with up to 30% off store wide. \nWyoming’s prodigy bladesmith\, Jack Rellstab\, will face off against Forged in Fire champion\, Brandon Williams\, hailing from Blackfoot\, ID to compete for knife-making glory. \nTaking place just off the square during the Saturday JH Farmer’s Market\, both competitors will be given knife specs and then use forges\, anvils\, and grinders set up for the competition. \nThe final winner will be decided via an “audience choice” vote on instagram. To vote follow: @mtn_man_toy_shop\, @4b_outdoors\, and @rellstabknives. More details on the competition to come! \nTo top it all off\, New West KnifeWorks will provide on-site knife sharpening\, offering first knife sharpened FREE for all who bring their kitchen knives\, pocket knives\, and hunting knives for a shaving-sharp tune up. All proceeds benefit Friends of Pathways and this all-day event will have something for all ages. The morning will feature a disc golf tournament and laps on JHMR’s Bike Park while the afternoon will feature Teton Village’s first-ever Brewfest! The Brewfest will feature local and regional breweries that are popular in the rocky mountain region.
