Jingle on down to Basecamp in Wilson for some holiday fun.
This holiday season, Basecamp’s in-house wine expert, Allee Cooper, has been pulled together hand-curated gift bags, and Santa (with a full beard in place) is set to play Christmas carols on Christmas Eve to add to the holiday cheer.
So far, Cooper has assembled 10 gift bags, priced from $40 to $200. She said each bag can be given as a gift whole, or some people might want to divide up the fun items and give them separately. Each grab bag has at least five items in it, and Cooper has written a fun phrase on the front of each bag as a hint to the theme.
The bags have something for everyone.
There are lots of fun stocking stuffers.

The contents consist mostly of snacks and charcuterie items. Hand-chosen by Cooper, the selected elements range from meats and cheeses to chocolates and wine. While the bags with wine or alcohol are designated for 21 and older, there are also some goody bags without booze. Cooper has selected a variety of local and non-local items from the Basecamp’s gourmet grocery section.
Stop by to purchase a bag as a hostess gift or for a secret Santa exchange before they’re gone. If they’ve sold out, ask Cooper for her professional advice on their sommelier-selected wines and charcuterie items to create your own gift basket. As an extra incentive, stock up on Wine Wednesdays for an additional 10 percent off bottles.
For more holiday spirit, bring the kids down to Basecamp and Rations on Christmas Eve, where the Jackson Hole Santa will be playing the piano and singing holiday songs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Snag a breakfast burrito from the grab-and-go section at Rations before they’re gone, or order up a hot Italian or fried chicken sandwich from the counter, and get in a festive mood with Santa’s holiday cheer.
