From a variety of freshly-baked goods like muffins and cookies, to new seasonal menu items, and even homemade sarsaparilla, Cultivate Cafe offers some of the healthiest food options in town for those with dietary restrictions and allergies.

Ninety five-percent of everything in house is made from scratch, and we are 100% organic as well. Everything is super clean. We [my family] eat this way and it’s hard to find a place that can accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies, etc.

Even the chicken and waffles at Cultivate Cafe are a gluten free meal. Not only is the made-to-order waffle batter gluten free, but the breading for the fried chicken is gluten free too. And, it’s that same breading that makes the buffalo cauliflower gluten free as well.

The menu at Cultivate offers a selection of burritos and tacos, made completely gluten and corn free. And rumor has it, the breakfast burrito is the number one selling item on the menu. Coming in at a close second is the Rendezvous Bowl, filled with black beans and quinoa, roasted sweet potato, carrot, scallion, toasted pumpkin seeds, pica de gallo, avocado, vegan crema and cassava chips. The cowboy sandwich is served open-faced with chickpea scramble, vegan mozzarella, spinach, ancho chili sauce and vegan garlic aioli, with your choice of gluten free bread and a side of breakfast potatoes. Everything on the menu at Cultivate Cafe can be made completely vegan however, the cafe offers a wide selection of protein options for those who prefer a meal with meat.

I’m really meticulous about the integrity of the ingredients. We use natural flavors, nutritional yeast, but no refined sugars, no soy, no GMO’s. It takes a lot of time and a lot of diligence to be this way but we’re excited to share this with people.

Cultivate Cafe serves made-to-order smoothies, juices, and coffee, and most recently released a house-made sarsaparilla. The popular old Western ‘soda’ drink began as an herbal medicine, and is made from scratch using sassafras, ginger, and an original herb concoction. Garnick uses maple syrup and coconut nectar to sweeten and create the carbonated ginger cream soda.

…And it’s [sarsaparilla] good for you! Dandelion root is good for the liver, and it has anti-viral and medicinal properties.

People have this idea that because it’s healthy or gluten free that you’re missing out on flavor. But people go away so pleased and love the food. It’s probably the most clean food that you could eat anywhere in the country. One hundred percent clean eating. We are very meticulous, right down to the oils we use.

Food and Fitness come hand in hand for this Central New York native. Coaching fitness is a first passion, but exploring new restaurants, sampling seasonal dishes and tasting fresh new flavors is a very, very close second. I love food and sharing a good meal with friends can be a highlight to any day.
