The long-time real estate developer and entrepreneur shares his top picks for dining around Jackson Hole.
A Jackson Hole resident since 2003, Tom Hedges runs C&C Home Services, Moose Creek Ranch and Akin & Hedges Realty. C&C Home Services (previously Cabin &Co.) is a property management business which manages 52 homes in the Jackson and Teton Valley. Their sister company, Akin & Hedges Realty, has recently delved into real estate development, with recent completion of a building at the base of Snow King and a community development in Victor called The Outpost at Mountainside Village.
Hedges and business partner Tom Hendrick recently completed a top-to-bottom renovation at Moose Creek, an exciting update for the boutique ranch that offers camping, glamping and cabin stays for guests. Whether it’s property management, purchasing a home, or finding a place for the perfect weekend getaway, Hedges is well versed on the ins and outs of staying and playing in Jackson Hole.
Moose Creek Ranch has always been one of my favorite places in the Tetons. My partner Tom Hendrick and I are very proud new owners. We’ve just completed a top-to-bottom renovation and are super excited to have just launched our grand re-opening. We have an incredible staff and offer a totally unique lodging opportunity right in the guts of the Tetons. I love enjoying the ranch with family and friends and witnessing the quality experience the place and our staff provide.

What is your favorite restaurant to dine out in Jackson?
The new Bistro is probably my current favorite in Jackson. The food and drinks are fantastic. I’m also partial to oysters on the half shell.
Any go to take out places since COVID?
My go to take out restaurant in town is Teton Tiger. The tikka masala and the dumplings are my favorites, but everything is delicious. I’m a proud mug club member at the Tiger.
What is your favorite specialty cocktail or beverage in town?
The spicy passion fruit marg at The Spur is hands down the best specialty cocktail in town.

What is your favorite lunch and dinner spot and favorite menu item there?
Pica’s remains my favorite for casual lunches or dinners. I’ve probably eaten the al pastor open faced burrito a thousand times over the years. And I love the half and half spicy/regular marg combo. A topper of watermelon juice is a great option too.
If you were to go out for a treat, what’s your go to and where?
Persephone is a no brainer for something sweet. Make sure to use the Locals Line app. The lines can be deadly.
