Community Eats: Collaborative Cooking with Pantry Staples- BITE NIGHT

July 21 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Central Wyoming College Jackson and One22 Resource Center have partnered to launch “Community Eats: Collaborative Cooking with Pantry Staples,” a new initiative designed to make healthy, affordable cooking more accessible by transforming everyday pantry staples into delicious, nourishing meals.

The collaborative project features recipes inspired by ingredients commonly available through One22’s no-cost food pantry, the Jackson Cupboard. Developed with care, dignity, and practicality in mind, the recipes encourage individuals and families to prepare meals using ingredients they may already have at home.

This collection includes 12 recipes – four breakfast, four lunch, and four dinner options – developed and tested by staff from Central Wyoming College and One22, hospitality students from Jackson Hole High School and Summit Innovations School, CWC-Jackson adjunct chef instructors, and community members. The recipes will be available as both printed recipe cards and digital downloads in Spanish and English.

To celebrate the launch, Central Wyoming College and One22 will host “Community Eats – Bite Nights,” where community members can sample featured recipes, pick up recipe cards, sign up to receive their recipe booklet, and, while supplies last, receive ingredient bags containing everything needed to recreate the featured meal at home.

Upcoming Bite Nights include:

  • Monday, July 20, 2–5 p.m., Teton County Library
  • Tuesday, July 21, 4–6 p.m., Teton County/Jackson Recreation Center

The first 50 participants at each event will receive complimentary ingredient bags.

“Community Eats” reflects both organizations’ mission to strengthen the community through education, collaboration, and access to resources that improve everyday life.
