School’s back in session and making breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks can be a little overwhelming for parents. Luckily there are some local markets to help you tie the kids over until dinner with great after school snacks. We have rounded up a list of easy options in all areas of Jackson Hole.
Wilson: Basecamp/Rations

This is the perfect after school snack stop to end all tummy grumbles. Basecamp has a delicious selection of pre-made sandwiches ranging from Uncrustables to locally made ham and cheese on ciabatta bread. Inside, you will also find Rations. Here, Monday through Friday, you can order freshly made sandwiches. They’re serving up food for all dietary needs. From their fried chicken sandwich to their falafel sandwich, you can’t go wrong with a hot hearty snack after a long school day.
South of Town: Jackson Whole Grocer

While this market has just about everything imaginable, Jackson Whole Grocer has one of the easiest grab-and-go after school snacks. Packaged in small portions, this is the perfect way to go to tide the kids over until dinner. With just about every food cuisine ready to go, don’t be surprised if their eyes still go straight for the mac & cheese – we know you’ll want some too – but there is also hummus, sushi, soup and baked goods.
Westbank: Aspens Market
Downtown: Pearl Street Market

Wether you are in town or closer to on the village road, these similar (and same owner) markets are perfect for grabbing fruits and veggies on the go. Pristinely organized and transparently labeled, the produce section is the first thing to notice when walking in. It’s also the right height for little ones to grab their favorites and hit the road home or head to after school activities. There is a full deli at both places for salads and sandwiches, too.
Teton Village: Bodega and The General Store

Visit The General Store for smoothies and milkshakes, or a variety of fancy hot chocolate drink options, plus bars, muffins and more. If you kids are looking for a little more, Bodega stocks take-and-bake pizzas from Osteria and its food truck offers tacos and chicken sandwiches.
While these markets have their specialties, you really can’t go wrong with any of them. They all have vast sections of packaged, frozen, hot and fresh foods to sit down and eat or grab on the go! So don’t panic parents! Now you know where to go.
