Young Professionals of the Tetons frequently hosts happy hours at some of our favorite local watering holes. So we thought it was time we looked into what these events were all about.
“YPT provides a platform for members to build relationships, develop professionally, become civically and philanthropically active and contribute to the economic development and high quality living of our community.”
Young Professionals of the Tetons (or YPT), is a committee of the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce. This group of professionals organizes public events to unite and enrich the emerging professionals and entrepreneurs within our community. Their primary pillars include: career, community and connection. Part of these connection component includes a free monthly happy hour facilitated at a local establishment. October’s YPT happy hour takes place tonight, at Calico, from 5-7 p.m. These networking events are an opportunity to mix and mingle with fellow young professionals.
In addition to these networking events, YPT organizes other opportunities for members to grow both personally and professionally. For example, next week, they will be hosting a public speaking workshop at The Wort Hotel. Events like these are ticketed, and cost less for members of the YPT. Membership dues are $109 annually and allow you to utilize the resources, events, business development sessions, and other outlets of opportunity that YPT provides. *This fee is waived for employees of businesses that are Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce members
Coming from a diverse set of backgrounds and professional experiences, the YPT committee members work diligently to assist budding young professionals in their pursuits while giving back to the community. It is their hope (among others) to foster a young professional community in the area. We encourage you to participate in one of their monthly events, with some specified drink recommendations to incentivize your attendance!
