March 10 marks Revolution Indoor Cycling’s 4th annual Rock the Ride event and fundraiser. But this event is so much more than that.
“Rock the Ride is a classic example of why this community rocks. From riders to businesses, from St. John’s Foundation to every person that supports RTR, we know how to rally and be there for one another in this community. Last year one of my teammates had suffered a stroke, and it was amazing to see her progress; this year I am riding in honor of my friend’s dad who is recovering after a stroke in December. Raising awareness that anyone can experience a stroke or cardiac event and that this community is here to support and help them is why I ride at Rock the Ride.”– Jessica Jaubert
The why

The what
Rock the Ride takes place at Dancers’ Workshop inside the Center for the Arts. The ride starts at 9 a.m. and continues until 1 p.m., but participants should arrive between 7:45-8:15 a.m. to check in, sign waivers and warm up. Teams of up to four people will ride a single bike for a total of four hours. Teams can divide up this riding time however they choose. Riders of all abilities are encouraged to participate. Prizes will be awarded for team categories that includes highest mileage, highest fundraising total, most spirit, best dressed and many more. Form a team and register, let Revolution connect you with a team, volunteer your time or simply give to the cause. There are many ways to support this event.
“Last year was the first time I participated in Rock the Ride and it was the most fun, most energized, most memorable event I have ever been to! Everything from the music, costumes and the ride itself, made me smile from ear to ear. AND, all for an amazing cause. It doesn’t get any better!!! It is a must do for everyone!” – Noa Staryk
