Love Melvin beer? The only way to get the full Melvin Brewing Company experience is to take a scenic drive through the Snake River Canyon to Alpine- to visit the taproom. These days, the taproom is not only bursting with tasty craft beer, but food, swag, yard games and social events as well.
Location
When you arrive in Alpine, take a look off in the distance and you’ll see there’s a wide white building out there. Right on the banks of where the Snake River dumps into the Palisade’s Reservoir. This building houses the Melvin Brewing process, and also offers an airy space for patrons to gather for the consumption of beers and, more recently, tasty food items. Outside, the expansive yard provides for amble sunshine seating and yard games!
Libations and Sustenance
The tap system allows for eight fresh taps to be rolling out new and favorite beers. Soon, a new smaller barrel system will allow brewers to brew smaller batches in order to show off their skills! Try more for less with a sample beer flight. In the beginning, food trucks were featured at the taproom location. Today, the taproom offers a menu of lunch and dinner items. Not only does this addition contribute to the food options in Alpine, but the bites will allow you to enjoy the beer and atmosphere at the taproom for far longer. All burgers are made with Wyoming beef, but a menu favorite is the Drunken Master Burger: balsamic bacon onion jam, melted smoked Gouda cheese, roasted garlic aioli and brioche bun. Food is served Wednesday and Thursday from 4-9 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.
Events
The taproom is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, but open Wednesday through Sunday from noon to around 11 p.m. On these days you can elevate your taproom experience with a brewery. Tours can be reserved online HERE. Wednesdays are Ladies Night. That means two dollars off all regular size drafts for ladies all day. Fridays are half price flights. Cap off or kick off the week with Sunday Fun Day- enjoy live music, weather permitting, from 3-6 p.m.
Escape the Jackson hustle and bustle in Alpine. They’ve got everything you need for an epic experience: beer, food, swag, atmosphere and scenery.
