Snake River Grill’s Slow Food Special

Snake River Grill is hosting a dinner special for a worthy cause this week. Starting tonight and running through Wednesday they will be serving a philanthropic special in cooperation with Lockhart Cattle Co. All the proceeds, not a percentage or a portion, ALL the proceeds of this special plate will go directly to help grow a food system that is good, clean and fair with Slow Foods in the Tetons.

The Chef de Cuisine, Kyle Nichols,  will be cooking an amazing Lockhart Cattle Co. skirt steak with a horseradish-cabernet sauce. This Slow Food special will be served for three nights June 5-7.

Celebrating over 20 years on the Town Square, SRG remains a local favorite for a fine dinning experience. Snake River Grill is a proud sponsor of the non-profit Slow Food in the Tetons and their vision of local and healthy food for everyone. For more details on the organization visit their website.

From Park City, to Tahoe, to Jackson I found myself floating like a snowflake from one ski town to the next. But once I arrived in Jackson in 2006 I knew that this was home. Growing up ski racing and traveling the world, from a young age I learned to love all sorts of food and at least try everything once. I loved being in the kitchen with my mom and grandmother when I was home, and got my kitchen work ethic from them. Some of my favorite dishes I often refer to as “the kitchen sink”, everything from the fridge, no recipe, just winging it and throwing in what moves me. Now I spend most of my time chasing my husband and two little boys around the mountains we call home. We love digging in the dirt, cruising through the farmers markets and cooking outside. My house and kitchen are always open and often filled with laughter from family and friends.
