Make This Haydens Post Martini

Jump to recipe
A lot of people ask what goes into the perfect martini. Martinis are a very personal drink, and while one person could like theirs very dry another could like there’s completely dirty. The most important aspects of a perfect martini are a chilled martini glass, your favorite vodka or gin, vermouth or juice, ice, and a fun garnish.

I love a good fruity martini during summer.

A local favorite martini an be found at Haydens Post at Snow King Resort. The Indian Paintbrush Cosmopolitan was created by chief bartender John-Mark Roufs and contains house-made grenadine. The state flower of Wyoming is the Indian Paintbrush. It is a beautiful, vibrant and wild flower that blooms all over Wyoming. The IPC is similar in color and packs a good punch.

The IPC from Hayden’s Post.

The coconut ginger martini from The Kitchen is another favorite. It is a perfect blend of sweetness and spice and pairs wonderfully with everything that comes out of the restaurant’s kitchen. The martini is made up of vodka, malibu, and ginger juice.
This Sunday just happens to be National Martini Day, so mix up your martini and try the recipe below.

Mollie Flaherty

Mollie is a native Cape Codder who learned at an early age how to put a lobster to sleep, harvest cranberries, and dig for clams. After high school she followed her sense of adventure out west to the University of Wyoming where she graduated with marketing and communication degrees. She found herself making roots in Jackson, her fiance’s hometown, and using her sales skills combined with her love of anything delicious to join the Dishing sales team. She loves baking from scratch, large glasses of red wine, and hiking with her heeler, Newton. She’ll try anything, but remains a stuck up Cape Codder when it comes to seafood. If she didn’t catch it or see it come off the boat, don’t even try tempting her.
