Up with the sun and looking for the perfect meal to start your day? Here are a few of our favorite early bird breakfast options for before morning exercise or after any sunrise adventure.
Everyone likes a delicious juicy burger after a long day in the mountains. But, if you’re a Jackson local, there is nothing like starting your day with a breakfast burger from Sweet Cheeks Meats. Known for The Royale Wit Cheese, this breakfast on a bun, is made with a sausage patty, egg and cheese. Sweet Cheeks serves a grab-and-go style breakfast menu Wednesday through Saturday from 7:30 – 11 a.m. Wake up, eat a burger, and crush your day.

Provisons gourmet donuts are another indulgent option for your next family breakfast or before heading out for a day in Grand Teton National Park. Sold at several locations throughout Jackson, including Brewhouse Coffee, Cowboy Coffee (both locations) and at Jackson Hole General Store. Or pre-order a dozen handmade donuts for $40.
Finish an early morning hike up Snow King Mountain with a healthy breakfast from Cultivate Cafe. Known for it’s gluten free, dairy free and vegan menu, Cultivate Cafe serves some of the most flavorful, healthy dishes in town. A menu highlight is the waffle, topped with house-made jam, matcha coconut cream and maple syrup. And it’s vegan, too! Find the recipe to make this healthy treat at home in the newest issue of Dishing, on stands now. Cultivate is open Tuesday through Saturday at 8 a.m. for dine-in and take-out. Delivery is also available through Jackson Gold Menus.

No matter where you are in town, a handmade croissant, a kouign amann or a cinnamon brioche, is close by. Grab a seat at Picnic or take-out your favorite fresh made pastries from Persephone in town, or in the Aspens, to enjoy after your morning sweat sesh. There is nothing sweeter than a slice of lemon lavender cake, or plum ricotta bundt cake and a cup of tea or speciality coffee after a run, bike ride, or hot yoga class. For a healthier option try the morning glory grain muffin. And don’t forget to pack a sweet snack for mountain adventures. Persephone also makes brownies and cookies. And for the kids this summer, try Tram Jam‘s Pow Tarts for breakfast at home or camping. A spin on the original Pop Tart, Pow Tarts, are baked and filled with Huck-it Berry Jam or the OG Tram Jam, and topped with a homemade icing. Inspired by an old family recipe, the original Tram Jam is made with organic strawberries, cranberries, fruit pectin, Saigon cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Gluten free options will be available soon.
