30 Years, 30 Cheers: A Month-Long Celebration of Snake River Brewing Milestone Birthday

As summer transitions to fall, Snake River Brewing is geared up to celebrate a major milestone—30 years of crafting exceptional small batch brews in Jackson Hole! First opened on March 25, 1994 by Albert and Joni Upshur, the brewery was purchased by Ted and Noa Staryk in 2008.  “What I’m most proud of is the people; our staff and our patrons,” owner Ted says. “Some of our people have been here for the whole 30 years. We have patrons that have been coming in for 30 years too, and that’s pretty cool.”

To mark this momentous occasion, the brewery is rolling out a month-long promotion in September, dubbed “30 Years, 30 Cheers.” This celebration is packed with deals, discounts, and special events that you won’t want to miss.

A Dirty Thirty Double IPA

To mark the occasion, Snake River Brewing has also created a commemorative beer—The Dirty 30 double IPA. Notes of tropical fruit dominate this well balanced, full bodied, limited-edition brew. The 8-percent ABV definitely gives this beer a warming sensation, but the 78 IBU’s help to balance that to make it an enjoyable drinking experience. Harkening back to 1990s grunge, the branding on these can adds a touch of nostalgia and celebration to each sip.

Join the Yard Party

To cap off the celebration, Snake River Brewing is throwing a yard party on September 22. This event promises fun, food and festivities on the brewpub’s lawn. It’s the perfect way to enjoy some brews from the two-time Small Brewery of the Year, and join the community in celebrating three decades of beer from Jackson Hole’s oldest craft brewery.

Stay Connected and Celebrate

Be sure to follow Snake River Brewing on Instagram throughout September to keep up with the latest deals, daily specials, and giveaway announcements. Their Instagram account will be the hub for all the excitement.

Sam Simma

Raised in the land of casseroles and deep fried cheese curds, Sam Simma left rural Wisconsin for the mountains of Wyoming in summer 2012. Her appetite for adventure is the only thing that rivals her passion for food. She has always used writing to document and critique her travel and dining experiences. Her warmest memories among family and friends have been associated with the food that was at the center of the occasion. From staging cooking shows with siblings to perfecting turtle brownies with her dad, today Sam enjoys connecting people over food by hosting cookie decorating parties, wine pairing nights, and Midwest-inspired potlucks. A dessert fanatic, she has come to impress friends and family with key lime pies, Oreo bon bons, and Snickers ice cream cakes that are far simpler than they could ever imagine. Shhh! Don’t tell.
