Winter Reopening Schedule

Hard to believe another season of off-season specials is already behind us, but we’re happily looking forward to winter with all the snow we received for opening weekend at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. The question now is: where can you après? There are a few restaurants that won’t reopen their doors until next weekend, but others are ready to refuel and rehydrate you after a day on the slopes…

Teton Village

The Alpenhof, Spur Restaurant & Bar, Mangy Moose, Il Villaggio Osteria, Bar Enoteca and The Handle Bar are all open and ready to warm you up on chilly ski days. Stock up for on-mountain snacks at Bodega or The General Store. Casper Restaurant and Corbet’s Cabin are two great resort options that are already open daily for the winter season. Piste won’t open up until Dec. 15, but the Off Piste Market will be an option off the gondola starting Dec. 1. Teton Thai reopens later this week (Nov. 28), while the Westbank Grill has been under renovation most of the off-season and doesn’t expect completion until mid-December.

West Bank and Wilson

We can always count on Calico on the West Bank and Streetfood at the Stagecoach, in Wilson, to keep their doors open year-round. But Teton Pines has also resumed their lunch and dinner service, if you’d like to keep your après country club classy. Don’t forget Sudachi when considering your West Bank options, and swing into Rations at Base Camp, in Wilson, pre or post-pass laps. The bagels at Pearl Street Bagels (or espresso) are always a good morning fuel-up as well.

Another Jackson destination for winter activities, Snow King Mountain opens operations for the winter season on Dec. 2. Besides skiing, Snow King Mountain includes fun for the whole family with the winter Cowboy Coaster, King Tubes, scenic chairlift and night skiing options.

Sam Simma

Raised in the land of casseroles and deep fried cheese curds, Sam Simma left rural Wisconsin for the mountains of Wyoming in summer 2012. Her appetite for adventure is the only thing that rivals her passion for food. She has always used writing to document and critique her travel and dining experiences. Her warmest memories among family and friends have been associated with the food that was at the center of the occasion. From staging cooking shows with siblings to perfecting turtle brownies with her dad, today Sam enjoys connecting people over food by hosting cookie decorating parties, wine pairing nights, and Midwest-inspired potlucks. A dessert fanatic, she has come to impress friends and family with key lime pies, Oreo bon bons, and Snickers ice cream cakes that are far simpler than they could ever imagine. Shhh! Don’t tell.
