What’s New at Summer Farmers’ Markets

0

With a late spring and the infamous “Juneuary,” Jackson’s growing season was off to a slower start than usual this year. Never fear, farmers’ market season is here! And while there may be less bounty than in previous seasons, there is still plenty to be thankful for.

We’ve got a breakdown of what is happening, when and where this summer.

The People’s Market

Wednesdays from 4-7 p.m. through Sept. 18 at the base of Snow King Mountain

Find live music, dinner options (whether you prefer to cook for yourself or grab and go), a kids cooking camp and more. The market is a zero-waste market so be sure to bring your own cups and bags.

Don’t miss the sweet treats from Fine Dining’s Cream + Sugar, sloshies from Jackson Hole Still Works and more!

Jackson Hole Farmers’ Market on the Town Square

Saturdays from 8 a.m to noon through Sept. 21

Find a broader selection of items (think honey, hot sauce, cheese and pies) along with seasonal produce. Missing larger vendors like Grove City Garden? Order with them ahead of time to get what you need. Find the link to fresh peas, here.

New this year? Jackson Hole Chip Company is making homemade potato chips, and find Hanna Cakes for cookies free of almost anything anyone could be allergic to. Don’t miss free morning workouts in the park.

The Slow Foods Farm Stand

Thursdays and Fridays from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. through October next to Twigs in the Movieworks Plaza

Can’t make a market? The farm stand is a convenient option to grab and go during the week with fresh fruit, produce and baked goods while they last.
