On the outskirts

Some of the best Valentine’s Day specials this year might be worth a little trip out of downtown for. In Moran, Turpin Meadow Ranch still has seatings available at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Enjoy four courses for $59 per person, with the option to add charcuterie and cheese for $7 per person. We’d love to try the pan-seared salmon with crispy quinoa, gribiche, roasted delicate squash, arugula and lemon oil, or the grilled lamb T-bone with braise lamb shank, goat cheese polenta, grilled asparagus and lamb jus. Call Emily at 307-543-2000 to reserve one of the remaining spots.

At Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis Club’s North Grille, chef Luke Biewick has prepared an incredible Valentine’s Day dinner menu for $90 per person, with an optional wine pairing. Come hungry to enjoy the amuse-bouche, appetizers, salad, soup, intermezzo, entree and dessert. The dinner features dishes like apple beet soup with candied walnuts; braised lamb pappardelle with buckwheat pasta, root vegetables and creme fraiche; butter-roasted scallops with lemon gel, charred carrot and red chermoula; and a Meyer lemon tart with Italian meringue and lemon chip.
