Abrams has lived in Jackson since the summer of 1999. In 2002, he became a partner of The Liquor Store of Jackson Hole, moved into a CEO position in 2017 and, in 2017, purchased Jackson Hole Marketplace with business partner Rod Everett and additional investors. In that time, he says, “I’ve had many conversations with folks about the history of this valley and I felt the stories people have around here should be shared. So, now I am launching The Jackson Hole Connection to share stories of worldly, wildly interesting folks connected to Jackson Hole.”

“While learning the stories of more people connected to Jackson Hole I hope to pass on to my boys, Louis and William, the importance of listening, learning and sharing people’s stories. We can all learn so much from people who have experiences to share.” ~podcast creator and host, Stephan Abrams

Sam Simma

Raised in the land of casseroles and deep fried cheese curds, Sam Simma left rural Wisconsin for the mountains of Wyoming in summer 2012. Her appetite for adventure is the only thing that rivals her passion for food. She has always used writing to document and critique her travel and dining experiences. Her warmest memories among family and friends have been associated with the food that was at the center of the occasion. From staging cooking shows with siblings to perfecting turtle brownies with her dad, today Sam enjoys connecting people over food by hosting cookie decorating parties, wine pairing nights, and Midwest-inspired potlucks. A dessert fanatic, she has come to impress friends and family with key lime pies, Oreo bon bons, and Snickers ice cream cakes that are far simpler than they could ever imagine. Shhh! Don’t tell.
