The Indian Finally Opens

The IndianEver since word spread about an Indian restaurant coming to town, it was all the buzz: when, where, who, when! Well folks, the wait is over. The Indian opened last week at 165 Center Street.

Ryan Haworth, and his wife Sunanta, (also owners of Teton Thai in Driggs) have finally finished the beautiful space and opened the doors to Jackson. Filled with barn wood, marble and leather booths, the space has a dining room and a large dining bar and lounge area.

Currently the menu features classic Indian dishes such as butter chicken, naan and samosas with plans to expand and add lunch and high tea as well.

They style of the food is based on more British Indian, influenced by other Indian Ocean neighboring communities as well.  For us, a highlight was the curried mussels. Served with naan, the rich broth was flavorful and delicate at the same time. Straight up delicious. A chai cake for dessert is not to be missed.

Currently The Indian is open every night for dinner and will soon offer lunch as well as tea and pastries in the afternoon. Call 307-733-4111 to make a reservation and check it out!
