Spend an Afternoon and Evening at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort

There is a lot happening this summer in Teton Village. We spent an afternoon scouting activities and dining, and here is what is new that you should experience before summer is over, all too quickly.

Via Ferrata:

Via Ferrata at Jackson Hole

This rock climbing experience was added to the offerings of activities just this summer. A large area of climbing and adventure awaits you and is available to kids 10 and older and adults of all levels. The via ferrata offers a unique way to experience climbing in the Tetons. With options for all levels, anyone can enjoy these routes. The climbing offers fixed cables and added holds and aides, which make for a safer and more accessible way to climb. And even those who have climbed a lot will find plenty of more advanced routes that they can try ascending without the added holds. The best part is, with the use of the gondola, there is no long approach (which is more typical around the valley) so you can start climbing almost right away. Rates start at only $109 a person. You may even climb past some wildlife…

The Deck and Piste:

Since you complete the via ferrata experience at the top of the gondola, you can conveniently schedule drinks and dinner right after. Start on The Deck with a spicy margarita to wash down some snacks like seasoned edamame and crispy fries:

But try not to fill up before you have dinner at Piste. The summer menu is incredible, offering seasonal and local produce and other specialties. Highlights include the beet stuffed ravioli (pictured at the top of this post) and this fish dish served with a crispy rice cake and roasted turnips.
