Roadhouse Kicks off With Grand Opening

Roadhouse Brewing Co.‘s bottled beer has finally hit shelves. And to celebrate their launch, the brewery will throw a grand opening party Saturday with free beer.

The launch party will run from 4-7 p.m. at the new brewery at 1225 Gregory Lane. Everest Momo Shack and Pinky G’s will be selling food. The Flannel Attractions will be playing tunes. And Roadhouse is offering tours of the new facility. They’ve come a long way since starting as homebrewers several years ago. (Check out this story in the current issue of Dishing as we learn to make beer with them.)

Roadhouse Beer has already shipped to distributors and is now available in local stores. In case you plan to grab a six pack this weekend, the Roadhouse team has even sent us a few pairing suggestions for your whole drinking experience, from food to music. See below:

Cara Rank

Also originally from the South, Cara Rank discovered cooking was a creative outlet that helped her relax after long days writing magazine and newspaper articles during the past eight years in Jackson. Really, she just missed Southern food. A lot. During a 12-year career as a journalist, Cara has won numerous awards for her work and has written about everything from rodeo queens to Dolly Parton tomatoes. She spends her weekends making jars of pickles and jam and amazing dinners for friends. She loves shishito peppers, Chicago-style hot dogs and elderflower-spiked cocktails.
