Local, Artisan Ice Cream Products by Cream + Sugar

Our relationship with Cream + Sugar’s ice cream and ice cream sandwiches has been a delicious courtship. We saw them on the dessert menu at Il Villagio Osteria and Bin22, and in convenient to-go pints at Bodega.  But today, we can find these locally created dessert delicacies on far more shelves around town.cream + sugar

Find Cream + Sugar products at Jackson Whole Grocer, Lucky’s, Aspen’s Market, Pearl Street Market, Hungry Jack’s General Store, Dornan’s, and, of course, Fine Dining Restaurant Group’s Bin 22 and Bodega. At these establishments you can look for pints in the following flavors: vanilla, cookies and cream, salted caramel, mint chocolate chip, and, the newest releases in the flavor lineup- chocolate or huckleberry. Ice cream sandwiches have only just hit store shelves this week. Taste vanilla, salted caramel, huckleberry or mint chocolate chip ice creams between two delicious chocolate chip cookies and dazzled with an outer layer of sprinkles.ice cream sandwiches

For a limited time, Persephone and Cream + Sugar have paired up to offer s’mores ice cream sandwiches. This is in honor of National S’mores Day on Aug. 10. These sandwiches are only available at Persephone, Bin22 and Bodega.

“Guests kept asking us where they could purchase our ice cream, and especially our mini ice cream sandwiches, to take home with them. With two specialty grocers in our restaurant family, it was a natural fit to start packaging our products and selling them retail,” says restaurateur Gavin Fine.

ice creamWith the inherent goal of providing high quality, house-made ice cream, these little sandwiches have developed quite the following. A small, almost guilt-free dessert, these tiny treats are packed with nostalgic value in addition to their taste. Eating one of these sammies is a reincarnation of early childhood memories cooling off on a summer’s day or concluding a meal with an ice cream treat. And if you haven’t had the pleasure of trying these products, get yourself a sample at Slow Food in the Tetons’ People’s Market on Wednesdays at the base of Snow King, or at the Saturday Jackson Hole Farmer’s Market on Town Square.ice cream

Through August, Cream + Sugar is celebrating their ice cream sandwich retail release with an Instagram contest. Follow their page @creamandsugar, snap a photo with one of their ice cream sandwiches or ice cream sandwich stickers and use the hashtag #meandmysammie to enter. Follow these guidelines and you’ll be entered to win a batch of your own signature flavor ice cream sandwiches. That’s right- the winner will have the chance to leave their mark on a Fine Dining Restaurant Group product and make a batch of that ice cream sandwich with executive pastry chef Chad Horton.
