Jackson Hole People’s Market Announces Summer of Wednesday Fun

Foodies of Jackson can finally get excited for the summer season. The first farmers market begins today. A local favorite, the Jackson Hole People’s Market kicks off at the base of Snow King by Phil Baux Park and runs 4 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday until Sept. 20

In it’s seventh year, the People’s Market has become the place to be on Wednesday evenings. The event showcases farmers, artists, food producers and brewers from around the Teton region. You can feel good knowing the businesses you support are local. This year features many familiar faces as well as quite a few new farms and producers. Here are a few new food additions from previous years to keep your eyes out for!

Farmers Market

Farm to Table: Lockhart Cattle Co. will be selling locally raised beef during the market. Haderlie Farms and Robinson Family Farm will also be there and will be great complements to some of the established favorites like Cosmic Apple and Painted Sage

Looking for a unique treat? For all you cheese enthusiasts, Winter Winds Farm  is back with its incredibly tasty line of locally made goat cheese, along with the ever so popular Larks Meadow Farms choices.

Preserving the harvest: Roots Kitchen and Cannery will be selling some of their amazing jams and canned vegetables.

Don’t forget Dinner: Everest Momo Shack will be there to help with your dinner needs. Also keep and eye out for Teton Tacos. No dinner would be complete with out a nice frosty beverage. Snake River Brewing and Roadhouse Brewing will be pouring their award winning beers alternating weeks throughout the summer for your drinking enjoyment.

Get out your shopping bags, dust of your cruiser bike and get ready for another great summer of the farmers market with a happy hour.

Cara Rank

Also originally from the South, Cara Rank discovered cooking was a creative outlet that helped her relax after long days writing magazine and newspaper articles during the past eight years in Jackson. Really, she just missed Southern food. A lot. During a 12-year career as a journalist, Cara has won numerous awards for her work and has written about everything from rodeo queens to Dolly Parton tomatoes. She spends her weekends making jars of pickles and jam and amazing dinners for friends. She loves shishito peppers, Chicago-style hot dogs and elderflower-spiked cocktails.
