You know summer is in full swing when the hiking and biking is happening in Teton Village. But now that you’ve worked up an appetite, where and what do you eat? Don’t worry, we’ve done some taste-testing for you and have the scoop on what is happening in the food world this summer at the base area of  Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.

The General Store

Swing by The General Store on your way to any activity for a fresh fruit smoothie or pick up a fresh-baked breakfast treat. In the afternoons you will find milkshakes or you can treat yourself to a six pack of local beer.

Teton Village’s newest addition is going to impress you this summer with its gorgeous deck, tram views, open-air bar and even better food. While you will still find favorites, like the cast-iron pressed burgers, they are served alongside vibrant summer salads and lighter lettuce wraps. Don’t miss experimenting with anything from the cocktail list. The bloody mary is always a hit.

We couldn’t resist trying the pickle-brined fried chicken sandwich. The freshly-baked bread was just soft enough to both hold it together and not compete with the crispy meat. Speaking of the meat, everything served is all organic and high quality. Much is sourced locally, too. Look for local greens later this summer and don’t miss out on “apres hour,” from 3-5 p.m. every day. Starters and flatbreads are $1 off and so are the drinks.

Walk up to the open-air, fast casual taco cart and you will easily see why locals flock to the spot. The drinks are cheap and freshly squeezed, the tacos are fresh and the salsas homemade. Again, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort doesn’t skimp and uses meats like Snake River Farms’ American Wagyu and Korobuta pork. Views of the bike park offer entertainment, too. The truck is open from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday and happy hour offers deals on drinks from 3:30-5 p.m.
