Go: The Wort Hotel’s (Wine) Dinner and a Movie

If you need dining inspiration this week, Dishing has you covered. Visit our list of off-seasons specials here. Or head on over to The Wort Hotel on Wednesday as they host a screening of “Decanted” alongside a four-course meal, all paired with Napa Valley wines. The dinner is $85 per person. To reserve, contact acaruso@worthotel.com.

The evening’s menu includes a trilogy of lobster mac and cheese; halibut fish tacos; duck leg confit lollipop; and a dessert. Wineries pouring glasses include Philippe Melka, Moons Tsai, Heidi Barrett, Alexana and Revana, Aarron Potts, Joseph Carr, Julien Fayard and Azur.

The movie looks interesting. Check out the Instagram here. A little about “Decanted:” this feature length documentary follows the development of a brand new winery, Italics Winegrowers, seen through the eyes of elite Napa Valley winemakers in this small but highly revered wine region. Like a vine extending itself far underground seeking nourishment, the story digs deep to analyze what kind of person it takes to enter this highly competitive and well-established arena. Explore what it takes to succeed at building a brand, staking a claim, and realizing a lifelong dream.
