Friday Night in Teton Valley: Wildlife Brewing and Pizza

DSC_0587Some restaurants are known for their beers and drinks, some are known for their food, and some are known for their rich history. Luckily for us, Wildlife Brewing and Pizza in Victor is known for all three.

Wildlife Brewing and Pizza has an awesome list of home brewed beers with great names such as the Daydream Session Ale, Buckwilde Double Blonde, and the Mighty Bison Brown. Pair those beers with some of the valley’s most sought-after gourmet pizza’s and you have a fun Friday night in downtown Victor.

DSC_0569Wildlife Brewing and Pizza was started by Ric Harmon in his garage and has expanded to take over his first home in the valley. Starting in the early 2000s, Harmon started making pizzas in his garage to raise money to buy a brewing system. Soon his pizza’s became so popular he had to stop delivering them in order to keep up with demand. When he had enough money to buy his brewing system he started by making one to two beers at a time. Soon, he expanded his home out over the lawn to create the large restaurant and bar. Now, his living room has become the bathrooms and merchandise showcase, and his kitchen is still a functioning service station.

DSC_0544Recently, Wildlife Brewing and Pizza purchased canning equipment, and they hope to start the canning process soon. As of right now, their demand for kegs is so high they need to focus on supply, all good problems to have for a rapidly expanding brewery.

Next time you find yourself in Victor for the day or on your commute home, stop in for a pie and a beer, you won’t be disappointed.

Mollie Flaherty

Mollie is a native Cape Codder who learned at an early age how to put a lobster to sleep, harvest cranberries, and dig for clams. After high school she followed her sense of adventure out west to the University of Wyoming where she graduated with marketing and communication degrees. She found herself making roots in Jackson, her fiance’s hometown, and using her sales skills combined with her love of anything delicious to join the Dishing sales team. She loves baking from scratch, large glasses of red wine, and hiking with her heeler, Newton. She’ll try anything, but remains a stuck up Cape Codder when it comes to seafood. If she didn’t catch it or see it come off the boat, don’t even try tempting her.
