Four Great Late Night Spots

The Jackson Town Square is the perfect place to fulfill all your needs: alcohol, live music and food. But let’s face it, going out to the bars and consuming alcohol makes you hungry, sometimes so hungry that your alcohol-soaked brain convinces you you’re starving and need as much food as fast as you can get it. Even if you’re not “that hungry,” you tell yourself you need at least two slices of pizza so you don’t feel bad the next morning.

Whether pizza is your drunken fancy or a burger, we’ve got the best late night spots for you to stuff your face, after hours.

When seeing live music at The Pink Garter Theater, the easiest place to grab late night nibbles is just a hop, skip and a jump away. The Rose, now with a regular and late night menu, offers delicious snacks until 2 a.m., with prices ranging from only $5 to $8. Their menu items include:

  • Herb truffle fries
  • Fried Brussels sprouts served with a safron caper aioli
  • Crispy chicken with star mustard
  • Pork sticky bun
  • Veggie empanada

If you’re more in the mood for a classic after hours snack, Pinky G’s, right below the theater and The Rose, serves pizza until late. They stop serving full pizzas at midnight, but serve individual slices until 3 a.m. The best thing about their pizza is that they have the biggest slices in town, so you are guaranteed to leave full and happy.

Another great place for a late night snack is Thai Me Up, only a block’s walk from the square. Along with some in-house brewed beers from Melvin’s Brewery, they have a late night menu served until close, with prices ranging from $8 to $10. Choose from items such as:

  • A Melvin burger with fried shishito peppers, a fried egg, bacon and Thai mayo
  • A bahn mi slider with shredded pork, Thai bbq sauce, pickled chili and cucumber
  • Thai wings with a sweet chili sauce
  • Thai street tacos with shredded duck, pear salsa thai chili, and rice tortilla
  • Fried shishito peppers with lime juice and fish salt

Last but not least is the late night menu at Lift. Lasting from 9 p.m. until close, they offer two separate late night specials. Their late night menu consist of three items, each priced at $3.95. Choose from a cheeseburger, salad or chips with salsa and guacamole. Their other special consists of a shot, a beer and any late night food item for $8.95. Talk about a deal.

All of these places are great for late night nibbles because they give you options. And when it’s after hours, everybody wants one of everything.
